About Us
Babba Maas & Friends is a collective of musicians with a shared love of reggae who have come together for this project. The collaboration brings together internationally and nationally recognised reggae artists alongside local legends in the genre, creating a powerful and authentic musical lineup. Many of the artists have a deep connection to the story of Haile Selassie, with several rooted in the Rastafarian tradition, bringing both cultural authenticity and spiritual depth to the album.

Dehvan Othieno
Jamaican-born singer-songwriter and Talisman frontman, rose to international success, evolving from the original Bristol roots sound to acclaimed solo artist and global reggae performer.
Carlton Smith
Bath resident Carlton Smith - vocals & keys with Black Roots - rose from Bristol’s sound system scene to international touring success, building a cult following and recording acclaimed roots reggae and dub albums.
Knati P
Knati P is a Jamaican-born, UK-based reggae singer, songwriter, and visual artist. Relocating to the West Country, he blends authentic Jamaican roots reggae and dub with contemporary dancehall.
BACKING VOCALS
When it comes to vocal power and expression, few can touch Lys' incredible voice. Hailing from Spain, Lys combines her love of soul, R&B and reggae into a unique vocal style that lifts any tune and captivates all audiences. Lys' performed backing vocals on Never Ever Give Up, Today It's Us, Tomorrow You, My Country's Not For Sale and Selassie I.
